Acceptable Use Policy

What you can and cannot make with Snippt, how every request is screened, and how to report misuse or have intimate imagery removed.

Last updated September 24, 2026Applies to snippt.ai and all Snippt tools

1What this policy is

This Acceptable Use Policy is part of the Terms of Service. It says what you may and may not make with Snippt, what happens when a request breaks the rules, and how to report misuse. It applies to every tool, every plan and every user, including affiliates and API users.

Two principles behind everything below: Snippt does not make sexual content, and real people need consent.

2Prohibited content

You may not use Snippt to create, request, upload, store or share:

Sexual content of any kind

  • pornographic or sexually explicit images, video or audio; nudity; sexualised poses; "undress", "nudify" or "see-through" edits of any person, real or synthetic;
  • any sexual content involving minors, and any image or voice of a person under 18 in any context;
  • non-consensual intimate imagery, including AI-generated ("deepfake") intimate imagery of any real person, whether private, public figure, celebrity, colleague, partner or ex-partner;
  • sexualised depictions of real people in any form.

Deception and impersonation

  • content that makes a real person appear to say or do something they did not, without their consent;
  • impersonation of any person, company, official or brand; fake reviews or testimonials;
  • political and election deepfakes, and content intended to influence elections or mislead voters;
  • voice clones used in calls, messages or recordings to deceive, or without disclosure to the listener.

Harm and illegality

  • harassment, threats, bullying, hate against protected groups, glorification of violence or terrorism;
  • fraud, scams, malware, phishing, and content that facilitates crime, weapons, drugs or self-harm;
  • infringement of copyright, trademarks or other rights; content that is illegal where you or the depicted person live.

3Real people: faces and voices

Face swap, lip sync, character swap, motion transfer, virtual try-on, voice cloning and the video tools process real people. Before you generate, the tool asks you to confirm that:

  • every real person shown or heard has given you explicit permission for this use, or is you;
  • none of them is under 18;
  • you will not create intimate imagery, impersonate, deceive or mislead with the result.

We keep that confirmation with the generation. If we learn that consent was missing, we remove the content, close the account and, where the law requires it, report. Consent from a person for one use does not cover other uses; commercial use of someone's likeness or voice needs a written release. Public figures, performers and the estates of deceased people keep their rights.

Voice cloning

Only clone your own voice or a voice whose owner has consented in writing. Never use a cloned voice for calls or messages to third parties, for anything financial, or in a way that hides that the voice is synthetic. Cloning a public figure's voice is not allowed.

4How we enforce this

Automatic screening. Every prompt is checked before a model runs, every upload to a face or voice tool is checked for nudity, and every output is checked before it is returned. Requests that match a prohibited category are refused with an explanation and are not charged. If a safety check is unavailable, the affected tools pause rather than run unchecked. There is no "safety off" setting on any plan.

Strikes. Three refused requests within 24 hours pause generation on the account for 24 hours. Ten lead to a review and can end the account.

Records. We log refused requests, consent confirmations and enforcement actions, and keep them for as long as needed to demonstrate compliance to regulators, payment networks and our providers. See the Privacy Policy.

Consequences. Content removal, credit forfeiture, suspension, permanent termination, and reporting to law enforcement and to child-protection organisations where the law requires it. Apparent child sexual abuse material, including AI-generated, is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to the relevant national authority.

5AI labels and disclosure

Outputs carry an "AI-generated" label and, where feasible, machine-readable provenance information. Do not remove or hide them. When you publish outputs, disclose that they are AI-generated where required: this is mandatory under the EU AI Act for realistic depictions of people, places or events, under election laws in many countries and US states, and under the rules of most social platforms. Disclosure is always required for political content, news and anything presented as advice.

6What Snippt is for

Encouraged uses

  • original artwork, illustrations, designs, product visuals and mockups;
  • marketing content for your own products and services;
  • swapping faces, voices and outfits in your own photos and videos, or with the permission of the people in them;
  • personal projects, learning, and entertainment with the AI label kept on.

7Our providers' rules apply to you

Snippt runs on models from fal.ai, Anthropic, OpenAI, ElevenLabs and other providers. Their usage policies prohibit the same categories as this page and hold us responsible for our users. By using a tool you agree to the policy of the provider behind it, and we may refuse, remove or modify content, or close accounts, to comply with those policies and with the rules of Visa, Mastercard and our payment processors.

8Intellectual property

Upload only content you own or have the right to use, including any person's likeness or voice in it. Do not use Snippt to copy protected works, trademarks or the style of identifiable living artists in a way that misleads. Copyright complaints go to support@snippt.ai with "DMCA" in the subject (see the DMCA section of the Terms).

9Report misuse; remove intimate imagery

Report anything that breaks this policy: support@snippt.ai, with links, screenshots or account details if you have them. We acknowledge reports and act within seven business days; anonymous reports are accepted.

Intimate imagery of you: removed within 48 hours

If an intimate image or video of you, including an AI-generated one, was made or stored with Snippt without your consent, request removal at snippt.ai/removal-request or by email to support@snippt.ai. Tell us who you are, how to reach you, what the content is and where it is, and confirm that you did not consent. We remove qualifying content and known identical copies within 48 hours, keep a record, and confirm by email. You do not need an account.

10Changes to this policy

We update this policy as laws, provider rules and our tools change. Material changes are announced on the site and by email to account holders. The date at the top shows the current version.
