1What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. We also use browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) for the same purposes. This policy explains which ones Snippt uses, why, and how to control them. It is part of the Privacy Policy.
2Your choice
Analytics run only after you consent
When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Until you accept, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity are told that consent is denied and set no cookies. Our own reading statistics (section 4) run unless you choose Essential only. You can change your choice at any time: change cookie settings. Essential cookies work regardless, because the site cannot function without them.

4Reading statistics
On blog, Academy and newsletter pages, our own script measures how long a page is actively read, how far it is scrolled, whether the end is reached, how much of the audio edition is played, and which links are clicked. It uses no cookies and no third party: a random identifier in your browser's storage lets us count returning readers, and nothing is linked to your account, your email address or other sites. We do not store your IP address with these statistics, and we delete them after 25 months.

They do not run if you choose Essential only in the cookie banner or if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. You can also switch them off on this browser at any time: switch reading statistics off (or back on).

We do not use advertising cookies and do not share cookie data for advertising. Google's and Microsoft's own policies apply to the data they receive: Google, Microsoft.
6Browser controls
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; blocking essential cookies will sign you out and may stop the tools working. Instructions: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
7Changes
We update this policy when the cookies we use change. The date at the top shows the current version. Questions: support@snippt.ai.
